I am writing at the request of all of the volunteers at the Open Door Ministries, Inc. We want to express our sincere appreciation to the New Martinsville Post Office employees who recently donated over 1,000 pounds of food collected through their annual food drive. Their effort was outstanding!

I also, along with our officers and volunteers, want to acknowledge the tremendous donations of money and food which have come from the organizations, citizens, and churches in New Martinsville and surrounding area. Our workers have been able to supply nutritious meals to between 500 and 600 citizens on most Tuesdays and 30 to 40 persons each Wednesday for breakfast.

We are surely blessed to have the excellent support from our wonderful community. We have served those in need for five years. We know we’re not in alone in our efforts.
