MHS Prom Walk-In Detailed
The Magnolia School Walk-In will take place April 24 from 5-7 p.m. Prom-goers will gather at the New Martinsville City Building between those hours to enjoy a festive start to the evening, enjoying hors d’ouevres prepared by junior mothers while they have their pictures taken. Only prom-goers will be allowed to enter the city building.
Students will “presented” to their friends and family as they exit the front doors of the city building. Mayor Lucille Blum will announce the names of the students as they begin their walk down the sidewalk from the front doors to the street. Family and friends are encouraged to mingle with prom-goers after they have reached the street.
There will be plentiful parking. Only prom-goers may park in the city and college lots behind the WVNCC building, as well as in Christy’s parking lot. Limousines may park in the lower block of Main Street between the bridge and Washington Street (the city building). The city lot and the rest of downtown parking are available to townspeople.
If it rains, the walk-in will held at Magnolia in the gym.
