You have an opportunity to stand up for life and support people in our state who are making a difference in young women’s lives. The annual Walk For Life sponsored by your local chapter of WV for Life will be on Saturday, May 9.

Please join us for registration at the city building in downtown New Martinsville at 11 a.m. The walk begins at 11:30 a.m. and proceeds to the rally at Bruce Park. Judy Sloane, director for Labor of Love Ministries in Morgantown, will speak on “Healing the Heart” for post-abortive women. She will talk about the disconnect that often happens, the pain that often magnifies as the years go by, and how we can make a difference in helping to bring about “healing to her heart”.

The Labor of Love Ministries operates New Beginnings Maternity Home, Choices 4 Life Pregnancy Center, and The Lighthouse Christian Academy. Their mission statement is simply “Saving Lives, Changing Lives, and Blessing Lives.” In the past 10 years they have had over 60 young women live in the maternity home, and Judy has personally worked with over 400 women in the crisis pregnancy center.

So join us for the walk and rally, get others to sponsor your walk and enjoy the free food and entertainment. Ten percent of funds raised will go to West Virginians for Life and 90 percent to the Labor of Love Ministry.
