Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Lee Uselton

Sarah Colleen Dunn and Ricky Lee Uselton were united in marriage on Feb. 14 at Washington Hall Christian Union Church in New Matamoras. The Rev. Ruth Dunn, grandmother of the bride, officiated the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl D. Dunn Jr. of New Matamoras and the granddaughter of Ruth Dunn and the late Carl D. Dunn Sr. of New Matamoras and the late Robert and Rose Mary Campbell of St. Marys.

The bridegroom is the son of Fredrick Uselton of New Matamoras and Leslie Schubert of Chapman, Kan. He is also the grandson of Emmit Uselton of Akron, Ohio, and Janet Uselton of New Martinsville.

The bride was escorted down the isle by her father. She wore a one-piece corset gown with asymmetrical waist and sweep train. The fabric was brocade and satin. It was embellished with bugle beads, pearls, sequins, seed beads, and Swarovski crystals. She carried an arrangement of pink and white roses with baby’s breath and small flowers. She wore a chapel length train with a tiara crown made by her aunt Deborah Myers.

Maid of honor was Elizabeth Dunn of New Matamoras, sister of the bride. Bridesmaid was Christina Eddy of Wingett Run, cousin of the bride. They wore pink, floor length dresses with pink shawls that were made by Deborah Myers. Flower girl was Kendall Eddy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Eddy of Wingett Run.

Best man was Robbie Uselton of New Matamoras, brother of the groom, and groomsman was Jason Pritchett of New Matamoras. They wore western outfits and cowboy hats. Ring bearers were Connor Lee Pritchett and Gage Wyatt Eddy, nephew and cousin of the bride, respectively.

The tiered wedding cake, side cakes, and groom’s cake were made by Ruth Dunn, grandmother, and Deborah Myer, aunt of the bride.

The bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres were made by the bride, her cousin Christina Eddy, and aunt Deborah Myers.

The wedding was filmed by Brandon Myers, cousin of the bride. Photos were taken by Mary A. Seffens, friend of the bride’s family.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Carrol Senior Center. Music for the dance was provided by Jim Schawb’s of J and J Karaoke.

The couple’s first dance was to the song “I Swear” by John Michael Montgomery. The bride’s dance with her father was “Keeper of the Stars” by Tracy Byrd and was sung by Ruthie Dunn.

The bride is a student at Frontier High School. The groom is a graduate of Frontier High School and is employed at Haessly Hardwood Lumber Co. in Marietta.

After a short trip, the couple will be residing at New Matamoras.
