Board Expels PCHS Student

By Staff | Apr 1, 2009

A male student at Paden City High School March 30 became the ninth Wetzel County student expelled from school this year for alleged multiple violations of state law and school board policies.

The student, whose identity is protected by law, will receive educational services at an off-school site for one calendar year, as required by state law.

The expulsion period, as in many cases, may be reduced upon the recommendation of the county superintendent of schools. Superintendent Bill Jones said the matter has been referred to the Wetzel County Prosecuting Attorney’s office.
