Edwin and Ady Wright of Proctor celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on March 7. They were married in Rome, Italy, 50 years ago.

The Wrights have three children, seven grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, living in New Hampshire, northern Virginia, and near Atlanta, Ga.

Since their marriage, Ady and Edwin have lived in Rome, Italy; New Jersey; Virginia; Maryland, close to Washington, D.C.; and Annapolis, Md. After many years in the Washington area, the Wrights moved to Punta Gorda, Fla. Later they moved aboard their sailboat, Chessie, and cruised Central America for a few years. Replacing Chessie with a larger Chessie, they sailed from Florida across the Atlantic and through the Mediterranean for five years before heading to the hills of West Virginia.
