It is important for any who wish to voice opinion about the ban on drilling, etc. in the New Martinsville city limits to attend the Aug. 1 meeting of the NM City Council at 7 p.m. Do we want to say to the oil and gas industry, "You are not welcome here"? With little or no input from the public, an ordinance was passed, and now one is being considered to also ban RV use in the city limits. If we really want a new cracker plant and its associated prosperity to be located near us, supporters need to speak out that this banning does not represent the views of the entire area.
