please let me vent as i just saw our former (thank heaven for that) county prosecuting attorney is visiting our good town. who out there remembers the plea deal he gave a young fellow for shooting four and killing outright 3 members of the GUMP family a few years ago? the fourth died last year from wounds to her head. the deal was for 30 YEARS. that is not even 10 yrs per each victim. the shooter claimed he meant to shoot their dog and missed!! the now FORMER prosecutor said by taking this deal he saved the county tax payers 100 thou. i have always wondered if they had been from neubauer drive instead of out in the county if that plea would have been made. every tax season i try to find my savings. havent yet.
