People wonder why so many refuse to become involved in civic organizations and maybe they should take a good hard look at who represents these. I have never understood why some of these groups have individuals running them who have multiple restraining orders, dishonest business practices and more but people act like they are pillars of the community. So next time you ask me or my spouse to get involved maybe the reason we don't, is because we don't condone wife beaters, con artists and more passing themselves off as civic leaders.
