I can't. This site doesn't enable HTML code or allow hyperinking. Take out all of the spaces and copy and paste it to your address bar and it works. It is at least two acts (it is split into several parts on the site) and was a big youtube hit. Some of the songs are funny and some lines like "I once thought beauty isn't important, but now I think it is the most important thing of all".

oldtimer: Can you post that link again? I tried to copy and paste but couldn't locate it. Would love to see the musical and pass it on to ArtsLink!

Hello Albus. I agree. We do have nice parks. Look what they have done to your story. A group of Michigan students made a comedic musical out of it. It is long and in many parts but amusing. Maybe it would be a good project for some younger people to do at the Lincoln Theater. h t t p : / / tiny . cc / ijgc8 (take out all spaces)

NM really has nice features for their parks, considering the size of the town. Not many places this size had 2 public pools, mini-golf, paddle boats, numerous ball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts. It is just a shame that they can't put all of them together in the Bruce Park location. They also offer quite a lot of things for a community this size. It will still be sad to see Bruce Pool empty, even though Lewis Wetzel has been the most popular for years. The city really had no choice.

I feel terrible for children who walked or rode bicycles to Bruce Pool. Legalities and cost made it unavoidable. It also has a crumbling foundation. Lewis Wetzel is an easier fix and is used more than Bruce so they did what seemed best under the circumstances. This was neither an easy decision nor a biased one since many of those in the positions of authority don't live in Steelton. It's a sad thing for everyone.

I understand why they must close the old pool but I'm a little concerned that along with closing Bruce pool they are going to add a water park in Steelton. I hope all the children can make it to Steelton this summer.

Most of you probably read the bad news in this paper. Bruce Pool (and the wading pool) is closed and, most likely, will never be open again. This is not the fault of our parks department or any local officials. It is a case of an important national figure losing a family member because of a drain issue. That person had the power to pass more regulations. It's a sign of the times that has become worse and worse. I'm all for safety but these things can negatively affect our lives and the pursuit of happiness. Remember when Cracker Jacks had great toys until people who didn't monitor their children sued over choking? Maybe they should have had the peanuts removed too. So long Bruce Pool. Thanks for the memories.

Oh Yes, The Temple Men's Store was owned by 2 Winer brothers, (Louie and Lyle), and Harley South, later the mayor Don Mason bought into the store.

Today I remember and honor the Cusack sisters. They were teachers at the old Brooklyn school and were wonderful ladies.

I remember seeing an old pic that had a smaller building in front of that one. It may have been the first school and, at some point after this one was built, it was torn down. I haven't looked at the museum yet for that image. I would love to chat with the historical society at some point too. Oh...and the lbrary does have photo binders with nice historical images, if you ask to view them.

Rev. Marion Taylor lived out Doolin in the 1800's and wrote a book in 1910 about his travels. The first half of the book describes his belief in God and the second half is about his travels and the people he met. It's very interesting in the way he describes N.M. and the surrounding area. I was lucky enough to find an original on Ebay several years ago but Google books also has it. To find it just do a google search for " Marion Taylor Wetzel County " and click on the Google books link. The copy google has was personally sent to President Woodrow Wilson and has handwritten notes.

Speaking of memories, I want to say we should all look forward to the Festival of Memories again this year. It's going to be great!
