Small Towns Are Amazing

December 12, 2018
Wetzel Chronicle

Christmas cards and Hallmark movies. Those are the sorts of words our reporters used to describe Hundred's "Old-Fashioned Christmas" and Pine Grove's "Christmas In Our Town" events, held this past weekend.

Needless to say, our reporters were impressed.

Folks huddled together to sing Christmas carols, partake of filling foods and baked goods, create special gingerbread houses, and honor a loved one with a special ornament on a memorial tree Those are just some of the activities and opportunities that took place this past weekend. We try to share a plethora of photos in our paper and via our Facebook page. However, we admit that photos can't share all the sights, not to mention the sounds of children laughing, smells of baked goods, and the warmth that is felt from the fire of a warming barrel.

These kinds of events show the best of our communities, the caring people who live there and the hard work they are willing to put into their communities, to provide safe and wholesome fun.

We applaud these folks for showcasing the very best of Wetzel County.
