FAIRLEA, W.Va. (AP) — The State Fair of West Virginia is beginning its 90th anniversary.
The fair is held in Fairlea and runs Friday through Aug. 16.Fair officials expect more than 170,000 people to attend this year's fair.
The Register-Herald reports (http://bit.ly/V3Bi3e ) that more than 220 people will be employed by the fair, including concert stage help, security guards and ticket-takers.
Performances by Chris Tomlin, The Tams and Scotty McCreery are those scheduled during the fair.
