PRINCETON, W.Va. (AP) — Three people face murder charges in Mercer County stemming from the death of a Summers County man.

Mercer County prosecutor Scott Ash says the county grand jury charged 44-year-old Oscar Combs Sr., 21-year-old Oscar Combs Jr., and 38-year-old Linda Combs with first-degree murder.

Ash tells the Bluefield Daily Telegraph ( ) that all three defendants also are charged with robbery and conspiracy.

The charges stem from the fatal shooting of James "Bo" Butler. Butler's body was found in April 2011 in Wyoming County near the Wyoming-Mercer county line.

State police have said Butler was shot in the back of the head on Herndon Mountain in Mercer County.

WVVA-TV ( ) reported earlier that Linda Combs is the mother of Oscar Combs Jr. and the ex-wife of Oscar Combs Sr.
