Homegrown Fun

September 24, 2014
Wetzel Chronicle

We probably sound like a broken record, but there really is no need to venture far to find a good time.

The Shortline Lions Fall Fest held in Reader this past weekend was a wonderful time of homegrown fun. The laid back atmosphere was so refreshing. (See pages on 12B)

If you missed that event, don't worry because there are many more opportunities in the coming weeks.

This weekend brings the regatta to New Martinsville, Mutt Strut to the 4-H Grounds, and the Marble Fest to Sistersville. Especially for families, the good news is that those events are largely free-something virtually unheard of in more metropolitan areas, at least not with atrocious and frustrating lines.

And this is just the beginning: Hundredfest, Autumnfest, and more!
