Dear Editor,

On Saturday May 31, 2014, I was part in a successful event for Relay For Life to benefit Tyler And Wetzel RFL. This event was a four-person miniature golf tournament held at the newly renovated Bruce Park course. The course was just opened on this day.

Though the tournament brought forth a long, tiring day, it was a lot of fun and well worth it. We had around 80 different golfers try their luck and tune up their skills by shooting behind their back, opposite handed, putter backwards, pool cue style, and others. We gave away at least 40 door prizes and several Powerades and pop (for hole in ones). The best part was to see kids from ages two to 67 having a lot of fun.

Thanks to all of the plaques, donors of door prizes, Tyler Star News, Wetzel Chronicle, and those who volunteered their time and efforts. We plan to do it again next year.

Sincere Thanks,

Martin Parrish
