Magnolia 4, RCB 3

Grant Cain scored the game-winner in the top of the eighth to claim a hard-fought come-from-behind 4-3 victory for Magnolia over the home-standing Robert C. Bryd Flying Eagles April 9.

Zach Willhoite went the distance from the hill, striking out seven RCB batters and issuing zero walks. From the plate, Cain was a home run shy of hitting for the cycle, while singling twice and knocking in a run.

In addition, Chase Miller and Jake Starkey each had a pair of hits, while Derrick Blain knocked in a pair of runs for the Blue Eagles.

Magnolia 7, Noreth Marion 6

Jake Starkey, Grant Cain, Brandon Mason and Tyler Anderson each had multi-hits in helping Magnolia win 7-6 over North Marion April 12 in Marion County.

Chase Miller picked up the win for Magnolia, striking out five and walking three.

Magnolia 10, Cameron 1

The Blue Eagles’ Jake Starkey pitched a complete game four-hitter, striking out eight and walking one in a 10-1 white-washing of Cameron April 10 at Magnolia’s George Mullett Stadium.

The red-hot Grant Cain collected three hits, including a pair of doubles, and drove in three teammates. Zach Wilhoite followed suit with a pair of singles, a double and brought home four base runners. Tyler Anderson belted two hits and knocked in a run
