The Williamstown Yellowjackets outscored the Paden City Wildcats 15-2 in the fourth period to break open a close game and win 52-35 in the last regular season game for both teams March 1 at Bob Burton Gymnasium.
The Yellowjackets led 9-8 after one period and held a 23-21 halftime lead at the break. The 'Jackets out-scored the 'Cats, 14-13 in the third before the fourth period heroics.
Paden City only had one double-digit scorer, Kennedy Cain, with 10 points. Zach Heasley and Luke Cooper each added seven markers, while Craig Allen sank six points and Hayden Hizer netted five.
It was the Wildcats' sixth loss in the last seven games, but they still earned a bye in this season's Region I, Section II playoff and will host Trinity Thursday at 7 p.m. in the sectional semifinal. Winner will move on to the championship game later in the week.
