Lumberjills Fall To Beallsville

The Valley Lumberjill Volleyball Team fell in three sets Sept. 30 to Beallsville, 25-18, 26-24 and 25-17. sarah Bassett scored 10 points that included an ace and added three dinks and a spike.

Summer Briggs cashed in six points to go along with one dink, five digs and as many spikes and Sammi Roberts posted five points for the ‘Jills. Roberts also had seven digs and three spikes.

Rachel Baker scored four points and had as many spikes. She also had three digs 11 blocks and a kill. Erin Brown sent up three points and added four digs, two spikes eight blocks and two kills for the Lumberjill effort.

Whitney Haught finished Valley scoring with two points, a spike and a dig.

Valley easily handled Richland Christian School 2-0 Sept 26 at East Richland. Briggs and Brown each scored six points. Briggs added two spikes and a dig, while Brown had four spikes and a dig, a block and a kill.

Cassidy Price rang up five points and a dig, while Grace Hornbeck added another five points and a dig. Bassett had four points that included an ace and a block. Hayes and Baker each scored two points for the ‘Jills. Baker added a dink and a block.

Valley fell to Bishop Donahue 2-0, despite 10 points each from Bailea Underwood and Baker. Underwood also had a dig and a spike, while Baker included two aces. She also helped her team with a dig, 11 spikes, two dinks, 11 blocks and a kill.

Grace Hayes scored an ace point and two digs and Cassidy West had one point and one dig. Hornbeck and Brown each had two digs, with Brown adding seven spikes, 16 blocks and a kill.

The ‘Jills triumphed over Cameron Sept. 24, winning 25-13, 25-23 and 25-21. Baker had 19 points that included five aces, seven spikes, a kill, an dig and a kill. Haught scored 10 points, including an ace, and added three spikes, a kill and an ace.

Brown added five points that included and ace, She also helped out with two digs, four spikes, four blocks and a kill and a dink. Underwood added four points and a kill, while Price added an ace point. Basses completed Valley scoring with one point, a dig, a dink and two spikes.
