PC Wins, Loses At VHS Tri Match

The Paden City Lady ‘Cats won against Notre Dame and the Lumberjills Sept. 19, but dropped a match to Bridgeport in a quad at Valley High school.

Against the Irish, Paden City won in two sets, 25-3 and 25-16, with Taylor Cosper dropping in 23 points that included five from the service line. Cosper also dished out 19 assists, two kills and as many digs.

Megan Pierce scored six points and two more aces, two blocks and a kill, Haley Hizer set up nine more points, including two aces, to go along with her five kills, one assist and one dig.

Myah Charkawi scored five points that included three aces and as many digs. Graeson Baker finished the Lady ‘Cat scoring with two points, two kills and two digs. Kallie Arnett had 10 kills and a dig, while Cydney Blatt had three kills, an assist and one dig.

Paden City finished 3-1 against the Bridgeport Lady Bull dogs, dropping 23-25, 25-17 and 25-13, but winning one set 25-18. Hizer racked up 26 points that included four aces and dished out an assist, seven kills, two blocks and a dig.

Cosper and Pierce each score 13 points, with two and once ace, respectively. Cosper assisted 32 times, had two kills and a dig and Pierce had seven kills. Blatt added 11 points to the score, 13 kills and a dig. Charkawi had three points to go along with her five digs.

Kallie Arnett had seven kills and six blocks, while Charkawi had three points and five digs and Abbi Still had two digs. Dezirae Middleton had a dig and Baker had two kills, three assists, three digs and a block.

The ‘Cats came back winning against the Lumberjills 25-18 and 25-15, with Hizer leading with a team-high 13 points that included three bullets. She added four kills, and assist and two digs.

Charkawi and Pierce each score nine points, including a combined four aces. Charkawi added a kill and a dig, while Pierce added two kills, two blocks and an assist. Baker also added nine points that included one ace, two kills and as many digs. Cosper sent four points to the scoreboard to go along with her dig and 13 assists.

Chelsea Baker added a point ad a kill; Blatt added four points and seven kills; Madison Kelly’s point was an ace; and Sill had one dig.

Paden City handled Cameron Sept. 17 in two sets, 25-15 and 25-14. Blatt was the leading scorer with 16 markers, including three aces, that went along with four kills. Baker was on her game with nine points, three aces and as many assists, while helping out offensively with four kills.

Hizer’s eight points included an ace and she added three kills, while Pierce had five points, an ace and six kills for the Lady ‘Cats. Cosper made five points and assisted on 11 others and Arnett had one kill and two blocks.
