Paden City Park and Pool Commission, The American Legion family of Paden City Post 86, and Sistersville combined Honor Guard will hold Memorial Day services on May 27.
The American Legion Post 86 family will hold services at Paden Memorial Gardens beginning at 10 a.m. American Legion Post 86 Commander Bill Anderson will be in charge of the ceremonies.
The Park and Pool commission will have a program at the stage in the Paden City Park at 11 a.m. Richard Johnson and Wade Ferrebee are the coordinators. Mayor John Hopkins will be the main speaker. Also on the program is Bill Anderson, Post 86 Commander.
The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, and Sons of the American Legion of Post 86 will flag veterans' graves at Paden City Memorial Gardens on Wednesday evening, May 22.
Since Paden City American Legion Post 86 no longer operates a canteen, flags will be available for those who wish to place flags on the graves at the cemeteries at the Paden City recorder's office during business hours on May 22, 23, and 24, while supplies last.
There will be a Memorial Day Service at the Hundred Legion starting at 11 a.m. The Community Choir and the HHS Band will perform. Everyone is welcome to come.
On Monday at 11 a.m. the annual Memorial Day service will be held at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery at Hastings. The program will be presented by the Pine Grove American Legion Post #81 and Auxiliary, community churches, and singers from New Martinsville. Everyone is welcome.
In New Martinsville American Legion Marne Post 28 will hold ceremonies at the following times and places: 10 a.m., Greenlawn Cemetery; 10:30 a.m., across the street to the mausoleum; 10:50 a.m., Williams Cemetery; 11:20, at the Ohio River Bridge; and noon, Walker Cemetery.
