Board Of Education Approves Many Personnel Matters

The following personnel matters met approval at the April 15 regular meeting of the Wetzel County Board of Education.

Retirements:

Rhonda Y. Fiest, acceptance of retirement from position as English Teacher at Magnolia High School, effective June 30, 2013.

Ryan A. May, acceptance of resignation from position as Head Boys' Basketball Coach at Hundred High School, effective immediately.

Professional Personnel:

Aaron M. Allen, approval for change in assignment from the Reduction-In-Force/Preferred Recall List to half-time General Science/Biology Teacher at MHS, and will remain half-time on the Reduction-In-Force/Preferred Recall List, effective the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year.

Susan K. Flesher, approval for change in assignment from Third Grade Teacher at Paden City Elementary School to Second Grade Teacher at PCES, effective the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year.

Kimberly D. Starkey, approval for change in assignment from the Reduction-In-Force/ Preferred Recall List to Fifth Grade Teacher at New Martinsville School, effective the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year.

Crystal M. Sutton, approval for change in assignment from General Music Teacher at Short Line School to General Music Teacher at New Martinsville School, effective the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year.

Carla N. Wade, approval for change in assignment from the Reduction-In-Force/Preferred Recall List to Fourth Grade Teacher at New Martinsville School, effective the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year.

Service Personnel:

Elizabeth A. Al-Janaby, approval for employment as Countywide Substitute Bus Operator, effective April 16. (Pending WVDE Certification)

Diana L. Briggs, approval for change in assignment as Cook III at Long Drain School, 677/C, to Cafeteria Manager/Head Cook at LDS, 672/D, effective the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year.

Shelly E. Coen, approval for change in assignment as half-time Custodian at Short Line School, 682/B, to Cook II, 676/B, effective the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year.

Lezlie A. Fiber, approval for employment as Countywide Substitute Cook, effective April 16, 2013.

Kimberly S. Haught, approval for change in assignment from the Transfer/Subsequent Assignment List to Supervisory Teacher Aide/Autism Mentor (Special Education), 504/E, at MHS, effective the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year.

Tonya R. Hostutler, approval for change in assignment from the Reduction-In-Force/ Preferred Recall List to Countywide/Itinerant Supervisory Teacher Aide, One-On-One (Special Education), 502/C, based at Long Drain School, effective the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year.

Christina N. McCoy, approval for change in assignment from Countywide Supervisory Teacher Aide/Autism Mentor, One-On-One (Special Education), 519/G, based at Short Line School to Supervisory Teacher Aide/Pre-School (Special Education), 504/E, at Short Line School, effective the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year.
