Miller Wins Weekly Match Play

Lil Miller became the 12th different winner this season with a 209-195 verdict over Dave Johnson in last week's Ohio Valley weekly bowling championship. Miller won won $50, compliments of S & S Jewelry, this week's sponsor.

Miller eliminated Ron O'Neil Jr. 234-172 in one semi final, while Johnson defeated Dud Snider 261-195 in the other semi final.

Jay Yeager was the two-game high qualifier with games of 209, 187 and a 56 handicap for a 452 total.

Johnson continues to lead the Point List with 670 points, while O'Neil (510) and John Leek (475) round out the top three. The top 24 bowlers on the point list qualify for the 35th annual Ohio Valley Match Play finale, with the top eight each earning a first-round bye.

Tournament sponsors are again Miller Lite, Capital Beverage, and Buddy Light Accounting. The Grand Finale is set for May and features a $1,000 top prize based on entries
