I would like to inform people of the death my grandmother Virginia Ballard. She was a school teacher in Wetzel County. I know she touched many lives in her living, and she left her foot print in mine. My grandmother taught me so many things. . . patience, forgiveness, diligence, frugalness, generosity, how to make do with what you have, and how to be creative. She would often say, "If you have extra, give it away."
From the moment I came into Virginia and Anglo's life I enriched it, and they enriched mine. She loved me all of my life. Virginia expressed love for her students, family, and friends. She also often said, "I couldn't ask for better neighbors, Anglo and I have been blessed."
My grandmother was truly a beautiful person and had a certain naivete about her that remained throughout her life. I cannot convey, nor am I aware of the ways she touched each of you. I am happy for her that she is no longer suffering in this human shell, but I welcome you and will join you, in mourning. I am spoiled with copious memories of her and will rejoice in those spoils for the rest of my life.
