MHS Announces Homecoming Court
Magnolia High School will crown its Homecoming Queen during halftime ceremonies Friday when the Magnolia Blue Eagles meet the Barnesville Shamrocks at Alumni Field in New Martinsville.
Each class selected their representatives, but the entire school will vote for one of the five senior candidates on the Homecoming Court to serve as Homecoming Queen 2012.
The Homecoming Parade will take place at approximately 6 p.m., starting in front of the high school on Maple Avenue and proceed south, turning right at North Street toward the Ohio River and then again right onto Main Street and continue north to the football field. A special addition this year will be an Alumni Band joining with the Magnolia Blue Eagle and New Martinsville School Marching Bands. Along with the candidates in their convertibles, 2011 Queen Ashtin Zajdowicz, additional floats, and the powerful sounds of the marching bands, this yearly tradition should be something enjoyable for young and old alike. The Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday from 8 to 11 p.m. at Magnolia High School. The disc jockey for the evening will be Black and White.
The following seniors were selected to the Homecoming Court:
