The fifth annual Silver BeBee’s 4-H Coon Hunt takes place Nov. 10 at the Silver Hill Fire Hall, with registration from 2-7 p.m. Registration is $10 a contest and the hunt hours are 7 p.m.-12:30 a.m.

Contest one will have cash prizes to the three largest coons for adults and for youth. Contest two will include the hunters’ combined three coons. Payout will be based on number of entries. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and door prizes. Refreshments will be available for purchase. No alcohol will be allowed.

The Moundsville Rifle and Pistol Club has opened its indoor pistol range for the season. The range is open every Monday and Thursday, starting at 6 p.m. Handguns in .45 caliber or less are permitted. Any type of wadcutter or frangible ammunition is not allowed.

Fine print targets are available at the club or shooters can bring their own paper targets. Eye and ear protection is required. Binoculars and stapler are suggested.

The public is invited. Current members shoot for free and there is a small charge for non members. The club is located on 12th Street in Moundsville, next to the regional jail.
