Cupcakes with Personality held a bake sale May 25 for Share Our Strength, a national campaign to end childhood hunger.

This year, nearly one in five children across the country struggle with hunger. That's more than 16 million kids. Share Our Strength's goal is to supply kids facing hunger with nutritious food. One dollar will supply a child with 10 nutritious meals.

I made $125, which will provide 1,250 meals.

I want to thank the following helpers and businesses for helping me have a successful bake sale and feed hungry children: Jill and Katie Ash, Susan Herrmann, Debbie Myers, and Trey Fluharty; Witschey's, the site for the bake sale and cupcake containers; RCS Printing, for the copies; Gold Diggers, candle; Tractor Supply, Wooden Planter; The Flower Basket, Boyd's Bear; Wal-Mart, $20 gift certificate; Wayside, Ginsu Scissor set; Tam's Gifts, wooden duck box/berries; The Book Store, $10 gift certificate; and The Tin Ceiling, three jars of preserves.

Sincerely,

Teri Williams
