Golf Scramble On Tap
There will be a golf scramble Sept. 27 at Sistersville Country Club for the benefit of Sistersville General Hospital. A shotgun start is scheduled for 10 a.m.
Entry fee is $100 per golfer or $400 for a team that includes golf carts. There is a $15 discount for country club members.
The scramble will award a new car or cash to anyone making a hole-in-one on hole number one. In addition, there will be skill prizes and monetary awards to the winner and runner-up.

Hole In One Recorded At Riverside
Terry Craig dropped a hole-in-one July 17 at Fairway Riverside Golf Course.
The ace came on the 125-yard, par-three hole number 18 using a pitching wedge.
The feat was witnessed by Rick Williams, Steve Roth, and Ron Metling.
Youth Outdoors Set At Twin Falls State Park
Youth Outdoors Day at Twin Falls State Park promises a great Saturday, Aug. 4. "We'll have relays, scavenger hunts, a water balloon battle, prizes, and more," said Bryan Danford, activities coordinator at Twin Falls State Park.

WVU?Football Announce Game Times
The game times for West Virginia University's first two contests have been announced by the Big 12 Conference.
The season opener on Sept. 1 against Marshall University in the "Friends of Coal" Bowl at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium will kickoff at noon, EST.
The James Madison game on Sept. 15 at FedEx Field in Landover, Md., will begin at 4:30 p.m., EST. The television networks that will broadcast the games will be announced at a later time.
The game times for each of the remaining contests will be announced 12 days prior to the event. Earlier this week, West Virginia was selected to finish second in the Big 12 Pre-season Poll and quarterback Geno Smith was tabbed as the Big 12 Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.
