Board Approves Personnel

The following retirements, resignations, and employment changes were approved at the July 2 meeting of the Wetzel County Board of Education.

Resignations

Mary Amy Kessinger, resignation from position as Science Teacher at Valley High School, effective immediately.

Professional Personnel

Justin R. Cochran, approval for change in assignment from Third Grade Teacher at Short Line School to 7th/8th Grade Mathematics teacher at New Martinsville School, effective the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year.

Trisha A. Hartline, approval for change in assignment from half-time Social Studies Teacher at New Martinsville School to Social Studies Teacher at Magnolia High School (full-time), effective the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year.

Service Personnel

Teena L. Bates, approval for employment as Secretary II/Computer Operator (536/545-E), 220-day contract at Magnolia High School, effective Aug. 1, 2012.

Shelley E. Coen, approval for change in assignment from Evening Custodian II (682/B), 228-day contract at Magnolia High School to half-time "Temporary" Daytime Custodian (682/B), 228-day contract at Short Line School and half-time Countywide Substitute Custodian, effective July 3, 2012.

Tamra M. Flesher, approval for employment as Countywide Substitute Custodian, effective July 3, 2012.

Franklin S. Hixenbaugh, approval for change in assignment from Bus Operator, Mt. Herman/Robinson Ridge/ Sugar Run/Littleton/Long Drain bus route, Bus #18 (655/D), 200-day contract to Secretary II/Computer Operator (536/545-E), 220-day contract at Magnolia High School, effective Aug. 1, 2012.
