The Ohio Valley Vipers, coached by Paden City resident Jay Slider, won the Belpre Invitational last weekend.
The Vipers lost the opener 6-1 when their bats were silenced by a team from Beverly, Ohio.
However, the Vipers won the rest of the way, walloping Belpre, 14-5; Parkersburg Worthington, 17-5; Marietta, 15-1; and Belpre, 12-1, before blasting the only team to defeat the Vipers 13-4.

In the championship game, the Vipers tallied nine runs in the last two innings, while batting around each inning to gain the 13-4 championship title. Vipers Lukas Isaly and Kolton Elliott each drilled a home run, while Clay Jones belted a triple and lined three singles to lead the Viper offense.
In six games, the Vipers slammed eight homers. Zach Cunningham, Colby Kocher, Tyler Kocher, and Clay Jones each jacked out one homer, while Elliott and Isaly each put two over the fence.
Colby Kocher's round trip was a bases loaded grand-slam.
