The Paden City Foundation Scholarship Fund and the Paden City Museum each benefited from the 5k run/walk held in the City on June 1.
Aaron Estep of Sistersville was the overall winner in the 5k running event, followed by James Haught and Cameron Benson. The top finishing females were Marlee Stollar, Amanda Dawson, and Katie Billiter.
First, second, and third place awards were presented in several age categories including: male, 0-9 years, Silas McKeever and Jesse Griffith; 10-19 years, male: Jacob Pancake, David McIlvain, and Raphe Bailes; female: Kayla Hizer, Katie Ensinger, and Emily Patterson.
Men, 20-29 years: Chris Flesher, Jeffrey Bowers, and Chris Pickett; female: Kandrie Glassock, Rebecca Patterson, and Tessa Lind; men, 30-39 years: Matt Day, Eric McKeever, and Aaron Cisar; men, 40-49 years: Mike Herrick, David Benson, and Dave Brill; men, 50-59 years: Bryan Ensinger and Joe Griffith; and men, 60-69 years: Bill Hornbrook.
In the walking part of the competition, Gary Bennett was the overall first finisher followed by Alex Thoburn and Tim Oldfield; Linda Eagle was the first female walker to finish followed by Teresa Gaiser and Jamie Benson.

Men, 40-49 years: Joe Semple; female: Kim Hizer, Amy Frazier, and Jill Thorn; men, 50-59 years: Scott Mapes, Greg Morris, and Greg Bennett; female: Kristen Hensler, Barbara Slider, and Michelle Estep; men, 60-69 years: Thomas Lynch and Stephen McAnarney; female: Ginger Wilcox and Marilyn Cline; men, 70-79 years: Paul Thomas, Jim Amos, and Leroy Leach; female: Crystal Shockley, Peggy Leach, and Barbara Hopkins.
