The Blue Eagles blanked the Tyler Consolidated Silver Knights 10-0 in Region I Section II play at New Martinsville May 7.

Magnolia 5, John Marshall 10
Ryan Walton had three singles from his lead-off spot but, it was not enough as the John Marshall Monarchs invaded George Mullet Field on May 4 and came away with a 10-5 victory over the Magnolia Blue Eagles.
After a scoreless first inning JM scored three times in the top of the second. Meanwhile, Magnolia answered with a pair of runs in the home half of the second and JM led 3-2.
The Monarchs got a run in the top of the third and, in the bottom half, it looked like the Big Blue was going to have a big inning as they loaded the bases with no one out.
But, a flyout, a put out at home, and a strikeout put an end to the threat and JM Hurler Aaron Fonner got out of the inning unscathed.
With the score still close in the top of the sixth, the Monarchs scored four runs, including a three-run bomb from Fonner, that cleared the left field fence and made the score 10-2.
The Eagles scored twice in the bottom of the sixth and one more time in the home half of the seventh.
Magnolia 5, Union Local 2
The Blue Eagles benefited from six Union Local Jet errors and went on to win 5-2 -- in spite getting only three hits in the game on May 3 in Morristown, Ohio.
Magnolia got on the scoreboard first with a pair of runs in the top of the first. The Jets scored once in the bottom of the first and once in the bottom of the second to tie the game at 2-2 after two innings of play.
The Eagles did the rest of the scoring as they did once in third, once in the fourth, and once more in the seventh while holding the Jets scoreless.
Hitting for the Eagles were: Wilhoite, who doubled and drove in a run; Tanner Hanna, who singled twice and drove in a run; and Elliot, with an RBI;
Zach Wilhoite got the win from the mound, going five innings, striking out seven and walking five. Hanna worked two innings of relief, striking out four and walking none.
All told, the Eagles scored five runs on three hits and no errors, while the Jets scored two runs on four hits and six errors.
Magnolia 4, Wheeling Park 5
Elliot struck out 10 and walked one in nine innings of work. But, it was not enough, as the Wheeling Park Patriots defeated the Blue Eagles 5-4 in 10 innings on May 1 at Patriot field in Wheeling.
Park struck first with a run in the bottom of the first. But, the Big Blue answered right back and scored two runs of their own in the top of the second. They scored another one in the top of the fourth and held a 3-1 advantage after four innings of play.
Park scored a run in both the home half of the fifth and in the sixth to tie the game up at 3-3. The score stayed that way as the contest went into extra innings, when both teams pushed across a run in the ninth.
But it was Park that got the last laugh as they scored a run in the bottom of the 10th to win the game 5-4.
Knight singled twice and plated a teammate.
He and Hanna worked the 10, with Hanna charged with the loss.
