Fischerkeller Wins Sixth Weekly Event Of Year, 230-223

Chuck Fischerkeller defeated John Leek 230-223 to win his sixth weekly event of the year. Chuck averaged 233 for six games en route to winning $80, compliments of weekly sponsor Buddy Light Accounting.

Chet Richmond was the two-game high qualifier with 225-258 for a 483. Chuck won over Dave Johnson 279-208 in one semi final, while leek eliminated Pat Fischerkeller in the other semi.

Leek and Sean Sawyers bowled the highest match in the 34-year history of the event in the quarter-finals. Leek prevailed over Sawyers 316 (276 act) to 303 (278 act).

Fischerkeller's victory helped cut into Richmond's lead on the Point List (815-775) with Dave Johnson (705), Sean Johnson (645) and John Leek (600) finishing out the top five.

The top 24 on the Point List qualify for the Grand Finale, with the top eight earning a first-round bye. Tournament sponsors Miller Lite and Buddy Alight Accounting guarantee the $1,000 championship purse.
