Spencer Wins Weekly Ohio Valley Match Play Event

Al Spencer slipped by two-time Grand Finale Champion Pat Fischerkeller 192-186 to win week 27 of the 34th annual Ohio Valley Match Play. The victory was worth $75, compliments of weekly sponsor Action Gaming.

Spencer was also the two-game high qualifier with 196, 236 and a 46 handicap for a 478 total.

Spencer ousted Katie Fischerkeller 198-189 in one semifinal, while Pat Fischerkeller eliminated John Leek 232-212 in the other semifinal.

Miller Lite and Buddy Light Accounting tournament sponsors guarantee the grand finale top prize of $1,000. The top 24 bowlers on the point list qualify for the 34th annual match play final, with the top eight bowlers each earning a first-round bye.

Chet Richmond continues to lead the point list with 710 markers, while Chuckie Fisherkeller is second with 665 points. Sean Johnson is in third place with 575 points, while John Leek (525), and Dave Johnson (515) round out the top five.
