The Cameron Dragons used a 32-9 run to open the game against the host Paden City on Feb. 7 and never looked back, winning 76-45.
Kennedy Cain paced the hometown 'Cats with 13 points, including one basket from beyond the arc, and grabbed 10 boards, while teammate Kane Pyles came off the bench to add eight points. Zach Heasley followed with a pair of three-point baskets and a charity toss, while Craig Allen contributed three baskets. Geoffrey Bidwell and Jay Billiter each netted four markers, while Brandon Cross scored a deuce and Drew Bidwell swished a freebie.
The Lady Dragons made it a clean sweep as they scored a convincing 61-30 victory over the struggling Lady Wildcats Feb. 7 in Bob Burton Gymnasium.
Dominique Craft paced the Lady 'Cats with a double-double, 15 points, including three baskets from downtown, and 10 rebounds. In addition, Lynnsie Parsons, Logan Cosper, and Kayla Hizer each netted four markers, while Hannah Stanley finished the Paden City scoring with a three pointer.
The Lady 'Cats will host Calhoun in its first ever home sectional game in school history at 6 p.m. on Friday.
