To the Editor:
The Field of Flags are at rest for the winter. Our troops have left Iraq. May our conversations and prayers continue to include our servicemen, their families, and their friends.
There have been nine more U.S. casualties in Afghanistan since Dec. 9, as reported by the Defense Department. The total of fallen heroes in Iraq and Afghanistan stands at 6,334 as of Dec. 23.
