Hundred High School cheerleaders and coaches will participate in a walk-a-thon on Saturday, Sept. 24, to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. at Rails for Trails, near the WV State Police Detachment in Hundred. 


On Sept. 8, at Riverside Golf Course in Sardis, New Martinsville resident Jim Brown sank a hole-in-one on the par three, 140-yard hole six, using a seven iron. Witnessing his achievement was Sonny Price, Joe Jupa and Bruce Sivert.

Also, Gary Smittle Sr. sank a hole-in-one on the executive course par three 95 yard, also using a seven iron on August 17, witnessed by his son Gary Smittle Jr.


The Hundred Sportsman’s Club will host its annual Fall Rendezvous Sept. 16-18 with a chicken and rib roast on Sept. 17 at noon. There will also be a turkey shoot on Sunday, Sept. 18.
