Norrises Will Mark 65th Anniversary

Floyd and Phyllis Norris of New Martinsville will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on March 15.

They were united in marriage on March 15, 1946, at Simpson’s United Methodist Church in Moundsville.

Phyllis is the daughter of the late William E. and Irene Clifford of St. Clairsville, Ohio. She worked as the bookkeeper for the family-owned business and as a homemaker.

Floyd is the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Norris of Warnock, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. in WWII in the Pacific Theater, Okinawa. He is retired from the family business, Norris Tire Service, New Martinsville.

They have three children: Pam and Cindy of New Martinsville, and Brenda of Columbus, Ohio. They have six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. They will celebrate with a family dinner held in their honor.
