They have lived in Sardis for 64 years, where they owned and operated a dairy and fruit farm.
They have eight children: Bernie (Sharon), Dan (Deb), Sam (Janell), Ronnie (Delores), Jerry (Sherry), Vicki (Kevin) Haught, Kirby (Jody), and Faye (Bob) Smith. They are blessed with 25 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren (and a couple more on the way).
An open house will be celebrated with cake and punch on March 27 from 1-4 p.m. at Hilltop Community Center, located on state Route 536 in Sardis. Family, friends, and neighbors welcome. No gifts, please.
