There are not enough words or space to adequately express all my feelings surrounding Magnolia High?School's win Friday night to become the Class AA West Virginia Football Champions!

I particularly loved being part of the police escort and entourage from Wheeling to the high school. Along the nearly 40 miles we were mostly in our own little world, no doubt leaving many to wonder why the lights and long line of cars. But as we came closer to New Martinsville the honks of jubilation became more prevalent. The Proctor Post Office lot was full of cars--a predecessor to just about every parking lot along state Route 2. The AirEvac spotlight escort from up above was literally the highlight once in New Martinsville.

Then at MHS it was like those gathered until after 1 a.m. didn't want to leave; they just wanted to bask in the glow of the trophy and the accomplishment it signified.

This win was for everyone -- the Magnolia faithful, the band and cheerleaders, MHS students, the whole community, past players and coaches, and of course the current players and coaches. It is a feat that will go down in history. We all love you Blue!
