Mr. and Mrs. Jason Daniel Pritchett

Elizabeth Jean Dunn and Jason Daniel Pritchett were united in marriage on Sept. 11 at 2452 state Route 260, New Matamoras, in the gazebo at the family home place. Rev. Ruth Dunn, grandmother of the bride, officiated for the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl D. Dunn Jr. of New Matamoras and the granddaughter of Ruth Dunn and the late Carl D. Dunn Sr. of New Matamoras and the late Robert and Rose Mary Campbell of St. Marys.

The bridegroom is the son of Evelyn Iona Pritchett of Marietta and the late Alfred Pritchett of New Matamoras and the grandson of the late Edward and Ethel Pritchett of Newport and the late Raymond and Avis Suderman of St. Marys.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She wore a one-piece corset gown with asymmetrical waist with an A-line sweetheart chapel train. The fabric was white satin overlaid with organza with little pink flowers embroidered around the bottom and on the front top. She carried an arrangement of fuchsia pink roses and baby’s breath and small flowers. She wore a finger tip veil with a tiara crown.

Ring bearer was Conner Lee Pritchett of New Matamoras, son of the bride and groom. The bride and groom had the rose ceremony as the first thing they did after being married. It is an exchange of two long stem roses symbolizing the giving and receiving of their love for each other throughout their entire married life.

The tiered wedding cake, side cakes, and groom’s cake were made by Ruth Dunn and Deborah Myers, grandmother and aunt of the bride.

The reception dinner was done by the groom’s mother, Evelyn Iona Pritchett. The bouquets and boutonnieres were made by the bride and her cousin, Christina Eddy; her aunt, Deborah Myers; and her grandmother, Ruth Dunn.

The wedding was filmed by Brandon Myers, cousin of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Carrol Senior Center. Music for the dance was provided by Ricky Uselton, brother-in-law of the bride and groom.

The couple’s first dance was the song, “It’s Your Love” by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. The bride’s dance with her father was the song “I Loved Her First” by Heartland.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Frontier High School. The groom is a 2004 graduate of Frontier High School and is employed at Arby’s of Marietta. After a short trip the couple will reside in New Matamoras.
