We certainly don't understand the hows and whys of the death of a 17-year-old senior from Valley High School over the weekend, but we do offer our condolences to her family and friends.
We heard one VHS student lament that this is the fourth death of a schoolmate in two years that she has had to endure. That is too many and our hearts ache for such grief at such a young age.
We can only hope that the students at that school will take advantage of the counselors and expertise available to them. We hope they can find some strength from God in this time of sorrow.
Death is always difficult to understand and endure for the ones left behind, but talking with someone-be it a professional, friend, or family member-can help.
