Common Ground

Finding a balance between industry and residents is a struggle that has existed for decades, if not centuries. Businesses argue that they must cause some disruption in order to provide jobs. Residents argue that their peace and way of life is disturbed by various actions.

This age-old struggle is going on in Wetzel County, and other parts of the United States, as energy companies race to stake claims to newfound reserves and make collection possible. Both sides have valid arguments and we believe they both understand the other’s dilemma. This isn’t a problem with an overnight solution and it isn’t activity that will go away anytime soon. Let’s work together.
