Owner says he'd sell Va.'s Wintergreen Resort

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — The owner of The Greenbrier resort in West Virginia says he's interested in selling Virginia's Wintergreen Resort.

Jim Justice told The Associated Press on Tuesday he isn't in a hurry to sell the Nelson County, Va., resort, that he bought for $16.5 million in June 2012.

Justice considers himself a "hands-on" owner. But with The Greenbrier, his coal properties and his involvement in coaching high school basketball, Justice says he's had no time to visit Wintergreen.

Justice says he'd listen to proposals to partner with someone in operating Wintergreen, but he doubts he'll consider that.

Wintergreen has sentimental value for Justice because it's one of the last places he played golf with his father. Justice says if the right buyer doesn't come along, it's possible he'll continue to own Wintergreen.
