HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — Investigators have found more than 50 guns in the home of a Barboursville man accused of fatally shooting two people.
The Herald-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1llS9tT ) says a search warrant affidavit shows the 54 firearms included 17 handguns and a variety of shotguns, rifles and muzzleloaders.
Rodney Bruce Black faces two counts of first-degree murder. He is charged with fatally shooting 60-year-old Garrick Hopkins from the Milton area and 61-year-old Carl Hopkins Jr. of Oak Hill on Saturday.
Cabell County Sheriff Thomas McComas told media outlets this week that the 62-year-old Black told 911 dispatchers that he shot two people who were breaking into his outbuilding. McComas said Garrick Hopkins owned the outbuilding and the lot near Black's home.
