MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — A cable television company is suing West Virginia University over the school's use of equipment provided by the firm 14 years ago.
The Dominion Post reports (http://bit.ly/1cYA1BP ) that Jones TV Cable & Satellite Inc. filed the suit against the WVU Board of Trustees, university officials and College Cable Services Inc. in Monongalia County Circuit Court in December. Jones is seeking a temporary restraining order or injunction.
According to the complaint, Jones and the university agreed in 2000 that the company would continue to own equipment it installed at WVU. But in 2012, the contract was rebid and was awarded to College Cable.
Jones claims WVU refused to allow it to remove the equipment, which is still being used by the university and College Cable.
