CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — A study done by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology says that West Virginia's Yeager Airport is well connected for its size.
The study ranked the second best connected non-hub airport and it ranked 111th among all 462 commercial service airports in the nation. Officials say the airport ranked better in connectivity than about 50 airports in bigger cities.
The Charleston Daily Mail reports (http://bit.ly/1aGNH1n) that the Airport Connectivity Index looks at flight frequency, the quantity and quality of destinations and the quantity and quality of connective destinations.
Officials said the airport could've moved up to the top spot in the non-hub airport category because 2012 data did not take into account its flights to Dallas.
