MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia University's retiring vice president for student affairs will speak at the university's December commencement ceremony.
The university announced that Ken Gray will address the August and December graduates on Dec. 20 at the WVU Coliseum. The ceremony has been called convocation in the past, but this year it's considered commencement because it takes place after completion of final exams.
Gray, a retired Army major general and 1969 graduate of the WVU College of Law, has served as vice president for student affairs for more than 16 years. Earlier this year, he announced he's retiring as soon as a successor is named.
