SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia wildlife calendars are now available to help you plan the new year.

The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources Wildlife Resources Section says the 2014 features outdoor images and other information about enjoying the state's wildlife.

The cover of the wall calendar features a fall painting of a mountain stream flowing by a kingfisher with an angler fly-fishing in the background.

Other paintings include a black bear and her cub, a peregrine falcon, a bluegill, a bullfrog, and a barred owl. Paintings of a gray fox, a ring-necked pheasant, a blue jay, a muskrat and a gray squirrel round out the year.

The calendar is available at natural resources district offices, department stores and newsstands. The price is $10.
