Investigators say Salem Intl. fire was an arson

SALEM, W.Va. (AP) — The state Fire Marshal's Office says a fire that destroyed a building at Salem International University was deliberately set.

WBOY-TV ( says the Monday morning fire destroyed a building known as "The Cubes" that had been used for storage at the Harrison County campus. Its utilities have been shut off for several years.

No one was injured.

Investigators say the fire began in the center of the building's first-floor apartment.

They want anyone with information to call the Arson Hotline at (800) 233-2353.
