SUTTON, W.Va. (AP) — The West Virginia FILMmakers Festival has added a documentary to this week's lineup.
The festival will be held Friday through Sunday at Sutton's Elk Theatre.
A screening of Mari-Lynn Evans' "Blood on the Mountain" will take place Saturday morning. The film looks at the roles of corporations and government in the coal industry. The feature documentary is scheduled for release in fall 2014.
The 14th annual festival also features two other movies shot in the state.
Charlie Cline's "Squid Man" will be shown Friday night. It was shot in Pittsburgh and in Sutton.
A screening of David Smith's "Ladybeard" will be held Saturday night. The film was shot in Charleston and Huntington.
The Filmmaker of the Year will be announced on Sunday at Sutton's Landmark Center for the Arts.
